She schedules advising and department appointments as well as processes add, drop and withdrawal requests.  In addition, Julie coordinates graduate transfer credit, Directed Study, and Thesis requests for St. Louis and Online students, and checks graduation petitions for all St. Louis-area graduate students.

Originally from the suburbs of Chicago, Paula has called St. Louis home since 2002. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Truman State University and a Master of Arts Degree in Clinical Psychology from Eastern Illinois University. Advising services include transfer credit evaluation, program planning, registration, and information regarding most new student concerns. In addition to advising for various graduate and undergraduate programs, Paula helps organize the articulation agreements with the local community colleges. Paula is available for in-person and phone appointments Mondays through Fridays during regular office hours.

Originally from Chicago, Illinois, Joe has called the St. Louis area home since 1967. He has extensive work experience as a management Trainer/Consultant, in the Corporate and Small Business areas. He holds a BS degree in Business from Washington University and an MBA in Management from St. Louis University.  Advising services include transfer credit evaluation, program planning, registration, and information regarding student concerns. Robin teaches at Logan College of Chiropractic, but also advises in the International Relations program here at Webster.  She has first-hand knowledge of our graduate program, not only is she a chiropractic doctor, she also holds a graduate degree from Webster University.

Tyann (pronounced "Tie-ann") hails from the Land of Lincoln, Illinois, and, no the commute is not that long.  She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Photography from Webster University. She will complete a Master of Arts degree in Media Communications from Webster University in 2007. Her background is grounded by experience with the School of Business Online Programs department in addition to special program coordination. Her primary advising responsibilities are with working adult students, completing business and management degrees in our evening program. Tyann is available for in-person, phone and instant messenger appointments during regular office hours on weekdays. She is also willing to work with students who require evening appointments, but these must be scheduled with her personally as opposed to calling the general number used for all other appointments.

Karen Freeman started at Webster shortly after the earth cooled and when it was still a mere College. As Coordinator for advising in the School of Business, she advises students in all SBT programs, but undergraduate evening students with majors in the Management and Business departments receive her special attention. Karen can easily be distracted from the task at hand by conversation about the current state of the world, gardening and her granddaughter.

A native of St. Louis, Bethany began her Webster career as a student. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations, a Certificate in International Studies, a Master of Arts Degree in International Relations from Webster University, and has been awarded the 2007 MACADA academic advisor of the year award. Bethany is the designated International Academic Advisor in the Academic Advising Center, providing academic services including program planning, registration, and enrollment tracking to Webster's international student body in St. Louis. She also assists international students with a range of concerns including billing, internships, immigration regulations and enrollment requirements, authorized travel, curriculum sequencing and personal concerns. Kim has been associated with Webster University as an adjunct professor since 1994 and as an Academic Advisor, since 2002. He serves as chair of the Academic Progress Committee which monitors student's academic standing and as chair of the steering committee of the Student Success Committee. He also evaluates general education equivalencies. Trained as a historian of science and having taught for the Philosophy, Biological Sciences, and History, Politics, and International Relations Departments, he enjoys working with students who are exploring the wide range of programs Webster offers.

Michelle joined the advising office as Assistant Director in November of 2007.  She oversees graduate advising as well as advising of online students.  Michelle also works closely with Webster remote campuses, both international and domestic.  She continues to teach classes in near eastern and Egyptian archaeology, and her research interests are in osteology, paleo-faunal analysis, and anthropological theory.

Thomas Nickolai, Ph.D.

Thomas C. Nickolai has a Ph.D. in American Studies and has served as director of the advising center since July 2000. Tom was born in Wisconsin and attended college in Colorado and Italy. He served as a U.S. Army officer before enrolling in graduate school. He taught ten years as a history professor at another institution before coming to Webster in 1988. His research interests are in the history of business and the history of technology.

Cindy moved to St. Louis in 2003.  Within a year, she was excited to start her job at Webster University.  Although she grew up in Springfield, Missouri, Cindy remains a loyal Hog fan from Arkansas.  She received a Bachelor of Education degree and Master of Arts degree in Communication from the University of Arkansas.  After graduation, Cindy worked as an academic advisor there.  At Webster University, she helps students with registration, program planning, and academic concerns.  As a part-time academic advisor, she is available 3 days a week and every other Saturday for appointments.
