This position requires repetitive work over an 8 hour day and the ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

The ideal candidate will have working knowledge of computer hardware, the ability to work with small components and lift 25-30 pounds routinely through the workday. Qualified candidates will have excellent organizational, interpersonal skills, and the ability to multitask. Electronics and/or computer tech background are preferred.

Technical Support

Description:
Provide technical assistance to customers and working associates. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues. Serve as backup to NOC team. Maintain accurate records and the security and accuracy of all technical access and service tools provided by the company. Provide backup support for the billing group and operations staff and perform special projects as needed.
Responsibilities:
• Report to NOC manager and serve as backup to same
• Provide technical assistance to customers through phone and email dialog
• Provide on-site support services for business customers as required
• Provide technical assistance to working associates in setting up software, hardware, and in-house networking
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues through tools provided and research
• Provide backup assistance to the billing operations group in answering calls, emails and voicemails as needed
• Maintain accurate records
• Keep up-to-date on new product developments both in-house and industry-wide
• Maintain the security and accuracy of all technical access and service tools provide by the company’s systems, service provider’s systems, and customer’s systems by keeping passwords and intellectual property confidential
• Perform special projects as requested.
Additional Responsibilities:
• Provide support as needed to the Customer Care Manager, the billing Database Administrator and the Director of Operations for special projects and additional activities
• Assist with the development and implementation of new services to be offered to current and prospective customers
Qualifications:
• Friendly customer service focused attitude
• Good telephone skills
• Familiarity with DSL troubleshooting
• Strong understanding of Cisco routers and operating systems
• Experience with Microsoft server, SQL and Windows-based website hosting
• Understanding of technical issues as they relate to telecommunication connections
• General understanding of the functionality of common software programs
• General understanding of the functionality of computer hardware
• Familiarity with routers, servers, and modems
• Customer care experience
