The Lincoln, Nebraska Police Department is presently recruiting for the position of police officer for the Academy class beginning January, 2009. Written testing is scheduled for August 19, September 20th, and October 20th of 2008. All testing will begin at 8:30am at Police Headquarters, 575 2. 10th Street in Lincoln, Nebraska. At the completion of testing, those who qualify will advance to the physical fitness ability test on the same day. Subsequently, those qualifying will complete an oral interview, and may be called back for polygraph, psychological and physical exams. The entire hiring process will take approximately 3 months to complete.

The City of Grandview is seeking a qualified individual for the position of Full-Time DETENTION OFFICER. This position will work 40 hours per week which includes day, evening and weekend work. The City of Grandview is an Equal Opportunity Employer.Job Responsibilities: include booking prisoners, making security checks and inspections, providing for the daily care and treatment of prisoners. This position will also liaison with the municipal court.
Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent; valid driver’s license; minimum age 18; of good character; possessing the ability to make independent decisions in emergencies and to work with a diverse public.
Salary: Starting salary is $13.58/Hour plus an excellent benefit package (see below)!

CORRECTIONS TECHNICIAN

Description:
The purpose of this position is to perform prisoner booking and maintenance, in house report duties, dispatch relief, and security tasks.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•Monitor personnel in holdover area to ensure prisoner well being
•Schedules showers and meals for prisoners
•Book prisoners, inventories prisoner’s belonging, fingerprints and photographers prisoners
•Completes booking sheets
• Reviews warrant list for wanted individuals
•Compiles prisoner list
•May act as dispatcher as required
•Takes care of prisoner laundry
•Act as desk officer when required
•Receives and processes bonding procedures
•Provide inmates with respect and professionalism while in custody
•Other duties as assigned
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

Description:
The City of Grandview, Missouri seeks an INTERMITTENT Bailiff to work 8-15 hours per week, working Monday evenings in the Municipal Court, performing legal clerical work, coordinating the flow of court cases and to provide court/building security. This position also works a rotating schedule for Wednesday evenings (4:00 p.m.–7:00 p.m.) and Saturday mornings (7:00 a.m.–12:30 p.m.) to provide building security during the License Bureau’s extended office hours. Minimum Requirements:: High school diploma or GED, the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse population, one or more years work experience in law enforcement, court proceeding, security, military, or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities. Bilingual preferred.
