Free Informational Lunches / Breakfasts
Come join us at the Old Post Office for lunch (or breakfast) and be a part of our Fall 2008 series, "Recession Proofing Your Business". These informational sessions will introduce you to some of the Center for Professional Development's top-notch faculty and provide valuable tools to help you keep your business viable through these difficult economic times.
Breakfast sessions feature continental breakfast, begin at 7:30 am and last approximately one hour so you can get to work. Lunches, provided by one of our downtown eateries, begin at 12:00 noon and last from 60-90 minutes. Seating for each session is limited to 30 people so make your reservations early. Morale and attitude problems are common in all types of organizations, but there ares steps you can take to make things better. During this session you will learn why hiring is a major component of the morale issue, three myths about motivating employees and how to make real changes in behavior. Individuals waste untold amounts of money each year in lost productivity resulting from disorganization. In hard economic times, productive employees are the ones that keep their jobs and those who are laid off have a harder time finding work if they are disorganized or inefficient. Claire will discuss strategies for getting more out of your work day so that you will be a step ahead of the competition.
