It was an invitation from the U.S. Department of Defense in 1974 that first brought Webster University and the military together. The DoD was looking to provide quality higher education for its service members at a convenient location, namely military installations themselves. Webster University, with its mission to fulfill unmet educational needs around the world, was a perfect match. We've been providing quality on-base education ever since!
Today, we offer degree programs at more than 50 military installations across the country and online. In 2007, Military Advanced Education named Webster one of its "Top 10 Colleges and Universities" serving the military. The Council of College and Military Educators (CCME) presented Webster its 2002 Institution Award, in recognition of Webster's significant contributions to the cause of military education.
In the National Capital Region, Webster University's presence consists of four campus locations: Andrews Air Force Base, Bolling Air Force Base, Fort Belvoir and the Bureau of Naval Medicine and Surgery (BuMED).
Degree programs are taught by professionals who have a working knowledge of the fields they teach and provide our students with a reality-based education using practical application. We like to call it real-world knowledge for real world success.
Our classrooms in the National Capital Region are also open to non-military affiliated students, but these students will need to obtain a pass to enter the base for classes. For more information, contact the campus you are interested in attending.
