Webster University
NOTE: This Paper Brief/Advising paper applies only to the USASMA Class 59 and subsequent Version 4 graduates.
The purpose of this amendment is to (1) revise the number of credits awarded for graduates of the USASMA toward specified Webster University degree programs and (2) to add an additional program to those for which shared credits will be authorized. This amendment is an additional program to those which shared credits will be authorized. This amendment is an addition to the 24 October 2006 agreement, and does not change that agreement as it related to graduates of the USASMA Version 4 program prior to the signing of this amendment.
1. Pursuant to this amendment, Class 59 and subsequent Version 4 graduates of the USASMA program will be awarded a maximum of 12 semester hours of shared credits into the Master of Arts programs identified in paragraph 4. The shared credits for those programs are as follows:
MNGT 5000 Management
MNGT 5670 Managerial Leadership
MNGT 5590 Organizational Behavior
HRMG 5000 Managing Human Resources
2. These credits will be awarded in approved Master of Arts programs only for those USASMA students who complete research papers in leadership, management theory, human resources processes, and organizational behavior related issues. Confirmation of the completion of these research papers must be certified to by the USASMA school registrar's office.
3. USASMA credits for the Master of Business Administration program will continue to be limited to 9 semester hours credit.
4. Pursuant to this agreement, graduates of the USASMA Version 4 program will be awarded credit in the following Webster University master degree programs:
Master of Business Administration- 9 semester hours
Master of Arts in Human Resources Development- 12 semester hours
Master of Arts in Management and Leadership-12 semester hours
Master of Arts in Business and Organizational Security Management-12 semester

Master of Business Administration (MBA)
The Master of Business Administration degree requires satisfactory completion of 27 credit hours of the MBA curriculum and 9 credit hours of graduate electives for a total of 36 credit hours. Students who require prerequisite courses may have to complete more than 36 credit hours. Students who require prerequisite courses may have to complete more than 36 credit hours to receive the MBA degree. Qualified USASMA graduates enrolled in the MBA are awarded 9 semester hours transfer credit applied as 6 semester hours of elective courses and 3 semester hours of core course substitution in the Master of Business Administration. A maximum of 9 semester hours of transfer credit from all sources is allowed in the MBA program. Satisfactory completion of the MBA program requires the following Webster University Courses:

Note: Program prerequisites are to be completed before beginning
coursework for the MBA for those students who have not completed prerequisite
courses (or appropriate equivalents) within five years of entering the program
and having earned a grade of B or better. If the appropriate prerequisites
course content was completed more than five years prior to entering the program,
the department will allow a waiver if the student demonstrates command of the
content area by successfully completing a waiver examination. Prerequisite
courses may not count as electives in the 36-credit-hour MBA. An MBA Academic Advisor must be consulted to determine prerequisites that
will be required.
Master of Arts in Human Resources Development (HRDV)
The Master of Arts in Human Resources Development degree requires satisfactory completion of 24 credit hours of the HRDV curriculum and 12 credit hours of graduate electives for a total of 36 credit hours. The student chooses elective courses offered in this major or from the program curricula of other Webster University School of Business and Technology majors, or from transfer credit evaluated by the American Council on Education, or from transfer credit from other institutions. A maximum of 12 semester hours of transfer credit from all sources is allowed in the HRDV program.
Qualified USASMA graduates enrolled in the MA in Human Resources Development are awarded 12 semester hours of transfer credit. This includes a core course substitution for MNGT 5590 and 9 semester hours of elective credits. Satisfactory completion of the HRDV program requires the following Webster University courses:

A maximum of 12 semester hours of transfer credit from all sources is allowed in the BOSM program.
Qualified USASMA graduates enrolled in the MA in Business and Organizational Security Management are awarded 12 semester hours of transfer credit, which is applied as 12 semester hours of required elective courses. Admission to USASMA Cooperative Masters Degree Program
Requirements for admission to the USASMA/Webster Cooperative Masters Degree Program are as follows:
This agreement between the U.S. Army Sergeants Major Academy and Webster University applies to all Sergeants Major completing Version 4 of the USASMA. All participants in the program must submit an official transcript that reflects completion of USASMA curriculum.
Completion of a bachelors degree from a regionally-accredited college or university, and submission of an official transcript reflecting conferral of degree.
Completion and submission of the Webster University graduate school application form with nonrefundable application fee.
Participants in this program are not required to complete separate graduate entrance examinations such as Graduate Record Exam (GRE), Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT), or Miller’s Analogy Test (MAT).Letters of recommendation will not be required.
