    If you would like to receive a hard copy of the Annual Security and Fire Safety Report which contains this information, you can stop by Garden Park Plaza at the Department of Public Safety office 572 Garden Avenue St. Louis MO 63119 or you can request that a copy be mailed to you by calling 314-968-7130.

    The website and booklet contain information regarding campus security and personal safety including topics such as: crime prevention, fire safety, university police law enforcement authority, crime reporting policies, disciplinary procedures and other matters of importance related to security and safety on campus.  They also contain information about crime statistics for the three previous calendar years concerning reported crimes that occurred on campus; in certain off-campus buildings or property owned or controlled by Webster University ; and on public property within, or immediately adjacent to and accessible from the campus.

    This information is required by law and is provided by Webster University Department of Public Safety.

    The report is published annually prior to October 1.

Position is part of a technical team which implements and supports identity management systems and solutions, including enterprise directory services, single sign-on solutions, and integration with authoritative ERP modules. This person will play a major role in deploying and supporting solutions, which manage account life cycles, and user account provisioning and de-provisioning.


    Minimum Qualifications:

    Faculty Position in Counselor Education

    Tenure-track Full-time

    Starting Date:  Academic Year 2013-14, (June 1, 2013).

    Qualifications:  The Department of Behavioral and Social Sciences at Webster University invite applications for a tenure-track full-time faculty appointment in Counselor Education beginning June 1, 2013 at Webster’s home campus in St. Louis, MO. A doctorate in Counselor Education preferably from a CACREP-accredited program is required although consideration will be given to strong candidates who are ABD. Applicants from related disciplines who have been employed as a full-time faculty member in a Counselor Education program for a minimum of one full academic year before July 1, 2013 are also encouraged to apply. Applicants should identify with the counseling profession through memberships in professional organizations (i.e., ACA and/or its divisions). Experience in teaching, clinical supervision of counselors in training, and eligibility, as a Licensed Professional Counselor in Missouri is also required. 

    Duties:  This is a twelve (12) month academic position. Faculty members have advising and clinical supervision responsibilities, are expected to teach core-counseling courses, engage in professional development, and other activities to support a counselor identity.     Assistant Professor in Television Producing and Writing

    The School of Communications is looking for an assistant professor who will teach courses in producing and writing content for television and related media (i.e., web series), and who can help us integrate the discipline within other programs in the School. The successful candidate will be experienced in multiple aspects of television producing and writing for different genres and platforms, for example scripted narrative series, non-fiction narrative series. We are looking for someone with a vision of the future of television to help us better serve talented students who will be working well into the 21st century.   

    The successful candidate must be available to teach day and evening classes, advise students, oversee students’ thesis projects, help the school develop curriculum, serve on departmental committees as needed, and attend all School of Communications functions.

    A record of teaching success, developing track record of successful creative work or scholarship, an MFA or Ph.D. are required; some industry experience is also preferred.     Assistant Professor, Voice and Speech

    Starting Date: Academic Year 2013-2014, (begins August 2013).

    Qualifications: MFA in Theater with a specialization in Voice or the equivalent specialist degree/diploma. The ideal candidate will possess extensive training in teaching voice and speech to undergraduates, as well as detailed knowledge of the anatomy and physiology of vocal production. Certification in a current voice pedagogy (Fitzmaurice, Linklater, Rodenburg) is a plus. Detailed knowledge of the IPA is essential, as is the ability to teach the physical actions associated with the sounds of a Non-Regional Dialect. The ideal candidate will also be able to make connections between vocal skills and playing action in relationship on stage. The desire and ability to collaborate with other faculty members and contribute to the wider university community is essential.


    Duties:  The Voice and Speech Faculty Member teaches breath, alignment, vocal production, the International Phonetic Alphabet, and speech (including a Non-Regional American Dialect) to first- and second-year BFA students. Additionally, s/he co- teaches a second-year scene study Master Class and a third/fourth-year vocal workout with other members of the faculty. S/he mentors and advises BFA students outside of class and may coach Conservatory productions as needed.

    Qualifications:  The available tenure track position is at the rank of Assistant Professor in the Nurse Anesthesia program.  Masters in Nurse Anesthesia required, doctorate in appropriate field preferred. Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated desire to teach in clinical and didactic venues.

    Duties:  Teaching responsibilities will include teaching didactic courses in the Nurse Anesthesia program, conducting simulation exercises and mentoring at clinical sites.  The successful candidate should be committed to excellence in teaching.  The candidate will help develop the DNP program in Nurse Anesthesia.  The position also involves related duties such as student advising, university committee work, departmental duties and continuing professional development.

    Adjunct Faculty

    University Physics I (2 lecture sections)

    The Department of Biological Sciences at Webster University (St. Louis, MO) is seeking an adjunct instructor to teach two lecture sections of University Physics I for the Fall 2012 semester.  Classes begin the week of August 20 and the lectures are scheduled for Wed & Fri / 11 am -- 2 pm.  Each section is 3 credits for a total of 6 contact hours per week and there are typically 35 to 40 students combined.

    The instructor will be responsible for all of the traditional aspects of lecture including lecture preparation, assigning and grading homeworks, and writing and grading exams, quizzes, activities, etc.  He or she will work closely with a full-time professor who will be teaching the laboratory sections and has taught the lectures for the previous five years.

    A PhD in Physics or a closely related field is required.  All applications will be considered, but any or all of the following are preferred: (a) previous teaching experience at the University Physics level, (b) experience with problem-solving approaches to physics education, (c) a strong background in mathematics, and (d) an interest in biological applications of physics.

The desired candidate will possess a Ph.D. in accounting from an AACSB accredited business school and experience teaching in graduate and undergraduate business programs.     Webster University in St. Louis seeks graduate assistant/general manager to work with campus weekly, The Journal, for the 2013-2014 academic year. The assistantship carries over to the 2014-15 academic year.

    Applicants must be accepted into a Graduate Program at Webster University. Position requires minimum enrollment of 6 hours of graduate work per semester, as well as 20 hours per week working with the newspaper.

    Position carries a $11.500 stipend for the year and includes a total of 18 hours of graduate tuition remission applied toward the full-time coursework load taken in 2013-2014 academic year.


    Responsibilities:

    • Work closely with the newspaper’s adviser and editor-in-chief in running the newspaper and attend the twice-weekly newspaper production class

    • Assist reporters and editors in learning and carrying out ethical newswriting and editing processes

    • Supervise the newspaper’s weekly production night

    • Carry out administrative tasks including but not limited to processing student employment paperwork, ordering newsroom supplies, mailing contest entries, conducting interviews and recommending new hires, organizing monthly meetings and making travel arrangements for journalism conferences

    • Communicate with the publisher about paper specs and general publishing processes and concerns

    • Oversee the business manager in managing the advertising and business functions of the newspaper

    • Monitor the newsroom’s budget, pay registration fees, approve expenses and submit reimbursement requests

    • Promote a newsroom community among staffers and editors


    Qualifications:
    BA, with strong writing ability, WordPress/CMS knowledge, and copyediting skills are necessary. Professional experience in news media and multimedia storytelling is also preferred.

    Webster University Vienna (Privatuniversität) is seeking to appoint:  Assistant Professor of Psychology (full-time or half-time) & Associate or Full Professor of Psychology (full-time or half-time)

    Appointees will be contributing to teaching in the undergraduate and graduate psychology programs of the university. They will also be expected to have an active research agenda and assume relevant administrative responsibilities at the departmental level.

    Applicants are to meet the following criteria:

    Essential: A completed psychology doctorate or PhD in psychology Excellent English in speaking and writing Previous university-level teaching experience, preferably at English-language institutions, and demonstrated evidence of teaching excellence A demonstrated track record of discipline-specific scholarship Demonstrated ability to contribute to a collegial and intellectual environment

    Desirable: Working knowledge of German Familiarity with the Austrian legal and professional requirements for the practice of clinical psychology and psychotherapy

Preference will be given to applicants who are able to offer a combination of a specific field plus a capacity to contribute to the graduate program in Counseling Psychology.
