Circuit Judges to Speak at Webster's University's Holden Public Policy Forum

The Hon. Michael Calvin of Circuit 22-Division 22, and the Hon. Mark Neill of Circuit 22-Division 5, will speak, Jan. 30, as part of the Holden Public Policy Forum at Webster University’s  “Pizza and Politics” series.  The event will be held at 4pm in Webster University’s University Center Sunnen Lounge, 175 Edgar Road, and is free and open to the public.

Calvin and Neill will discuss inside the life of being a judge and the importance of the judicial system.  Both will be taking questions from students and members of the community concerning the law.

Calvin was elected magistrate judge of the City of St. Louis in 1978.  He became associate circuit judge by operation of law in 1979 and was appointed circuit judge in November 1988.  Neill is a former attorney for the St. Louis Police Department and was appointed circuit judge in February 2002.

Pizza and Politics is a town hall-style meeting, moderated by Forum founder and former Missouri Governor Bob Holden, where public policy makers, members of the community and students discuss the political process and key issues of the day.
