Webster University Well-Represented at Kevin Kline Awards
Webster University's faculty, students and alumna received many honors at the third annual Kevin Kline Awards presentation. The awards ceremony was held March 31 in the Loretto-Hilton Center. Lara Teeter, director of the University's musical theatre program, was the emcee and Jerry Mitchell, a Tony-award winning alumna, was a presenter.
The Kevin Kline Awards recognize outstanding achievement in professional theatre in the Greater St. Louis Area, honoring theatre artists and productions in over 20 categories.
Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Play
Winner: JOHN KINNEY ("What’s Wrong with This Picture?," New Jewish Theatre) first year conservatory student in performance program
Outstanding Ensemble in a Play
Winners (tie): "KINDERTRANSPORT" (New Jewish Theatre) FT Faculty Kat Singleton was a member of the ensemble
Outstanding Director of a Play
Winner: DOUG FINLAYSON ("Kindertransport," New Jewish Theatre) FT Faculty
Outstanding Costume Design
Winner: DOROTHY MARSHALL ENGLIS ("A Little Night Music," Stages St. Louis) FT Faculty, Chair
Outstanding Set Design
Winner: DUNSI DAI ("Remnant," Mustard Seed Theatre) FT Faculty
Outstanding Production for Young Audiences
Winner: "SNOOPY!!!" (Stages St. Louis)
Adjunct Ellen Isom was in the cast and also choreographed Alum Chelsea Jo Pattison was in the cast
