From Mozart’s window in 1781 to you, plus Bach (P.D.Q., that is) - Chamber Music at Webster University

What/Who:

The members of the Webster University Wind Ensemble perform as separate sections in an evening of Chamber Music, including the Serenade No. 11 in E flat by W.A. Mozart. This piece is famous for having been re-scored from six to eight players (at the request of Emperor Leopold) and for a famous ‘serenading’ of the composer beneath his window in 1781.

Additional chamber music will be performed by the Chamber Winds (Robert Carter, director), Percussion Ensemble (Henry Claude, director), Saxophone Ensemble (Michael Karpowicz, director) and the Brass Ensemble (James A. Martin, director).

When:

Monday, March 3, 2008, 7 p.m.

Where:

Community Music School of Webster University, 565 Garden

Cost:

$3 at the door, students free with valid identification
